Sherbrooke, June 3, 2025 -Skyrenu Technologies Inc. announce the closing of financing under the program SME Impulse, managed by Investment Quebec as a government agentThis public support is part of a pre-seed financing round also mobilizing private investors, including the CarbonFix fund from the Netherlands, and aims to strengthen the execution capacity of Skyrenu, a young innovative company from Sherbrooke working in the field of direct atmospheric carbon capture (DAC).
The role of the referring entities is essential in the success of the Impulsion PME program. Thus, it is important to emphasize that Skyrenu was referred and supported by entities providing expertise in R&D/materials (PRIMA Quebec) and in clean technologies (2 Degrees). The technology, developed as part of a partnership between the University of Sherbrooke and the young company, was also able to count on Axelys to provide financial and strategic support for its technological maturation.
This strategic financing comes as Skyrenu successfully delivered its first ever 2025 tonneCO DAC unit in February 50.2/year to a customer in AlbertaThis milestone confirms the company's ability to deliver cutting-edge technology, on time and to the highest quality standards.
