The Sherbrooke-based company Skyrenu, specializing in carbon capture technologies, has installed its first direct air capture system with a capacity of 50 tonnes of CO2 per year at the Deep Sky Alpha site in Innisfail, Alberta. "The installation [of the system] will validate performance and pave the way for broader adoption of direct air capture solutions," a statement reads. Deep Sky is a Montreal-based developer of carbon removal projects that brings together the most promising companies under one roof. It has $130 million in funding from several major investors.
